Many people are unaware of the fact that we all develop mutated cells that can turn into cancer. All of us have these cells within us at all times. It’s just part of life. However, our body’s immune system usually eliminates these cells or we have the proper balance of nutrients and other chemicals that keep the harmful cells from growing.
It’s simliar to having a garden that is well tended, fertilized, watered and maintained. When weeds drift into a well-tended garden, they can’t put down roots and so, cannot spread. We need to nurture our own ‘soil’ – our bodies. Caring for a garden and growing beautiful flowers requires some effort; maintaining a healthy body also requires nurturing and care.
You must provide the right nutrients, water and weeds when necessary, and give other types of care and attention - otherwise the garden becomes a neglected place, where various pests come to breed. You need to learn how to take care of your own ‘soil’, improve wellbeing during the different stages of the cancer journey, and make your body strong and resistant to future cancers.
The aim of this site is not to replace physicians’ knowledge and experience. It does not support dropping evidence-based treatment in favor of unproven therapies of unknown safety and effectiveness levels. This site provides clues, hints and guidelines for how to prevent cancer from appearing or recurring, make chemotherapy and radiation therapy less toxic, and improve wellbeing. It empowers people by providing them with an integrative approach, which can be independently incorporated during the course of treatments to reduce fear and anxiety.
This approach helps create an integrative treatment plan, which incorporates nutrition and supplements, physical activity, and mind-body-spirit components, as well as.complementary and integrative therapies, all of which may improve well being.
